First, before I chronicle the weekend’s events, I just want to say that I’m really enjoying this whole blogging more regularly thing. Like, really really really enjoying it. I don’t know if it’s just because I like to talk about myself or what, but long story short, it’s awesome.
ANYWAY. This weekend was grand, until I woke up at 3AM this morning in terrible pain because I did something to my back. Seriously, I just can’t win. Thankfully, I had the day off, so I was able to just sit on the couch all day and whimper. I hope it’s feeling better tomorrow, because I really don’t want to take the day off of work.
On Saturday, I woke up early, picked up a bit, and then I went to get my nails done with my former roommate/mock trial teammate/super pal, Audra. I left my camera in the car, because it’s not like you can really take pictures while getting your nails done, so I have no photo evidence. BUT I do have fake nails that make typing kind of a bitch. We also went and got lunch, which was fun. We hadn’t talked much since right before Christmas, so it was good to catch up.
Saturday night Eric and I played Rock Band until midnight, which was also so much fun. Then last night, we went to the movies to see the King’s Speech with Tory. The movie was AMAZING. I know I say that a lot of things are AMAZING but seriously, that was the best movie that I had seen in a long, long time. I didn’t have a single complaint about it.
Then we headed back to our apartment, where we had a bottle of wine and some amazing desserts and talked until almost 11. Oh, and I also snapped a few pictures. They are black and white because I felt like it and I almost never take black and white pictures:
Eric and Tory get along famously. I can’t believe that they hadn’t met until July. I’m so happy that they like each other – it would suck if one of my best friends didn’t like the guy I’ve been in a relationship with for almost five years.
Isn’t she pretty? I have such good-looking friends.
Tory wanted to know I was taking pictures, and I was like, “For the blog.”
She laughed and asked, “For what blog, your blog?”
Which made me laugh because what other blog would I be updating?
Mr. Tavi was put into his party outfit, because he’s a party animal (har-har):
Actually, that’s his Halloween bowtie, but I couldn’t find any of his others, so he rocked it like a champ. He’s the most handsome kitty in the world.
We watched the Golden Globes, much to Eric’s chagrin, but Tory and I had fun. I’m so happy that both Audra and Tory are here in DC with me, because otherwise I’d be so lonely. I can’t wait to see them again soon!

The love is mutual, darling. It is always a pleasure to hang out with you and Eric. And the kitties! I think we know the good-looking one in this post is Tavi
