I recently found out about A Round of Words in 80 Days and I am super excited to try it out. Round 2 starts on the 4th and runs until June 23. You set your own goal, with no mandatory word count. The idea sounds interesting (and much more work-friendly than Nanowrimo) so I set the following goals for myself:
- Write 500-1000 words per day, no excuses. By the end of June, I’d like to be at 70k (judging from my outline and how long things are taking so far, I’m looking at 90-95k in total).
- Come up with a title. Because every book needs a title.
Hopefully I’ll be able to stick with it, it doesn’t seem like these goals will be too hard to reach! I tend to be a very slow writer (I think I spend too much time worrying about what I’ve already written) so this should be a good exercise for me.

Sounds like fun. I'm like you and worry too much about what I've already written and not enough about what I have left to write. I'm sure you've noticed ;p
Good luck!

This sounds like such a wonderful idea – and definitely something that I need to look into. I have been so uninspired lately when it comes to any of my writings. I don't think I have written a single word on any of them in 2011. Yikes! I will have to check this out.

Good luck with your goal! This is my first time doing ROW80 too and I hope to finish my WIP.

best of luck – this is a great motivator – I did round one and couldn't wait for this round to start – have managed so much with all the support – keep smiling

Best of luck with your goals! Yes, titles are very important, but such tricky buggers to come up with….
